Agreement on internships between Alto Adige and University of Innsbruck – Qualità Alto Adige

Students of the “Leopold Franzens” University of Innsbruck will be able to continue their curricular internship in the provincial administration.

This is the summary of the agreement signed today (16 May) by the president of the autonomous province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher, and the rector of the Tyrolean university, Veronika Sexl. Both are of the opinion that internships will provide students with a concrete overview of administrative practice, promote professional orientation and bring together job supply and demand.

“Internships are a great experience for students and a good opportunity to get to know the Administration”, said the President of the Province Arno Kompatscher, “the objective is also to create the foundations for possible future collaboration”. Numerous South Tyrolean students attend studies at the “Leopold Franzes” University of Innsbruck, where dedicated courses are offered such as the integrated course of Jurisprudence – Italian Law, created in collaboration with the Universities of Padua and Trento, which provides during the training cycle a curricular internship.

In 2019, the president of the Province Kompatscher signed an agreement with the then rector of the University, Tilman Märk, which allowed students of legal sciences to carry out the period of practice in the provincial administration. Today the agreement is renewed.

“I am happy with the renewed agreement”, stated the rector Veronika Sexl, “thanks to which we further deepen the exchange between the University of Innsbruck and the Province of Bolzano”. Up to 12 curricular internship places will be made available per year, in person, for at least 152 hours.
