BUSTO ARSIZIO – Bulldozers and workers at the former ice rink of Beata Giuliana: now the construction site of the new gymnastics stadium begins in earnest. And to challenge “the owls”, the mayor Emanuele Antonelli has convened the entire majority for tomorrow, June 13, at 6 pm, for an inspection of the construction site together with the company which was awarded the works, financed in part with PNRR funds (3 million euros out of the over 9 needed).
The promise to Brumotti
Last May 30th, at the Maga in Gallarate for the event of the councilor Francesca Caruso, the mayor Antonelli revealed to Striscia la Notizia correspondent-acrobat Vittorio Brumotti that the construction site would start on 11 June, ahead of the deadline of 14 June, announced in the report broadcast on “Striscia”. «Even for pretend» the mayor had joked, to make clear his intention to start the work at any cost. Now though the construction site has really started: this morning, June 12, the sign was put up and they began the work of fixing the fencethen, depending on what is communicated, we will move on to the positioning of the scaffolding.
The presentation
The mayor would have liked to respect the commitment of June 11thpresenting the construction site, but the weather forecast for rain in the evening forced us to postpone it until tomorrow, June 13th, at 6pm, the presentation of the work. Not a real ribbon cutting. But there will be the mayor Antonelli, the councilors and the city councilors, as well as the representatives of the company that won the contract, to illustrate the project and the timetable. Like all PNRR construction sites, times are tight: they must be closed by 2026. But the former ice rink awaits the completion of the work for fifteen years now. This time it should really be the right time.
