Opta Statistics

After the 1-1 draw in the first leg last August 27, Bologna and Juventus could draw both seasonal matches in Serie A for the first time since 2011/12 (two 1-1s in that case).

Juventus has remained unbeaten in 41 of the last 42 matches against Bologna in Serie A (29W, 12D), the last victory of the rossoblù against the bianconeri in the top championship dates back to 26 February 2011, thanks to Marco Di Vaio’s brace in the Olimpico Grande Torino with Alberto Malesani at the helm.

Bologna’s last success at the Dall’Ara against Juventus in Serie A dates back to 29 November 1998, with Carlo Mazzone as coach (3-0, goals from Paramatti, Signori and Fontolan), since then six draws and 14 Juventus victories at home of the Bolognese.

Bologna have gained 67 points in this championship in 36 games, in their history in Serie A only three times have they done better in an entire season counting three points per victory always: 69 in 1930/31, 71 in 1931/32 and 76 in 1963/64 (in all these three cases the championship had 18 teams).

Bologna will play the Champions League for the first time in its history; also considering the Champions Cup, the rossoblù will play the tournament for only the second time, after 1964/65 with Fulvio Bernardini as coach: elimination in the first round against Anderlecht in that case.

Bologna and Juventus (67 points each) will compete in a Serie A match with the same points in the standings (excluding the first matchday) for the first time since the fourth matchday of 1980/81 (four points each in that case); while considering the return round of the tournament, this is only the second time, the first dating back to the 20th matchday of 1935/36 (26 points each).

Juventus recorded five draws in a row in the league for the first time since April-May 2009; in their history in Serie A, only once have the bianconeri drawn more consecutive matches: seven between March and April 1971.

Bologna is the team that has scored the most goals in final injury time (seven) of this championship, Juventus is fourth in this ranking with five – among them we find Atalanta and Roma (both six).

Riccardo Calafiori has provided five assists in 2024 in Serie A, a record equal to Nadir Zortea in his time in the league. Since data on successful passes has been available in the competition (since 2004/05), Calafiori is the first Bologna defender to have reached the milestone of five assists in a single tournament.

Bologna is the team against which both Federico Chiesa (six goals in 10 matches) and Arkadiusz Milik (six goals in seven matches) have scored the most goals in their careers in Serie A. Dusan Vlahovic has also scored six goals against the rossoblù in the top flight , a record for him on a par with Cagliari, Lazio, Salernitana and Sassuolo.
