Lecce, already safe, greets the public at Via del Mare on a day which, after Monday’s defeat against Udinese, will continue with the celebration in the streets of the city. The opponent is Atalanta, fresh from defeat in the Italian Cup final against Juventus, on the one hand they need points to seal qualification for the Champions League, on the other they will be projected to the historic Europa League final on Wednesday 22 May at 9pm in Dublin against Bayer Leverkusen.
Probable lineups
Gotti recovers the suspended Piccoli and will try to get Sansone back after having recovered Almqvist and Falcone. The striker, from Bergamo and owned by Atalanta, will team up with Krstovic. For Cannavaro there were seven absences due to injuries but also the heavy returns of Perez and Payero. At Lecce, Blin, Rafia, Krstovic and Sansone have been banned. The Orobics lose De Roon, injured in the last act of the Italian Cup. Gasperini will also not be able to count on the suspended Koopmeiners and the injured Holm and Kolasinac.
