From 30 June to 7 July Piazza Vittorio Emanuele will host the first Padel trophy “City of Pisa” organized by the Municipality of Pisa in collaboration with the Pisa Padel Club. For seven consecutive days one of the squares of the historic city center will be the protagonist from 9.00 until midnight with a series of challenges. Furthermore, it will be possible to book the courts for all citizens who will thus have the opportunity to play in a different location than usual.
The tournament will be divided into women’s and men’s levels of play. Present at the inauguration will be Marcelo Capitani, professional player and former number 20 in the World Padel Tour ranking, head of the youth sector and technical commissioner of the “under” national team and Gustavo Spector, famous Padel master in Italy, coach of the national team since 2014 who will carry out a demonstration of his workouts.
The field will be set up on the side of the square on the Corso Italia side. The previous three days and the following three days will be needed to set up and dismantle the pitch. The assembly of a grandstand will be carried out which can have a maximum capacity of 60 people and will also be present in the square with a gazebo, where a small management secretariat will be organized to assist the athletes.
