Viterbo – We receive and publish – The council groups Movimento Civico Viterbo 2020 and Io Apro-Rinascimento applaud the initiative of the Frontini council which gave the green light to the appeal to the TAR against the Lazio Region. The latter has in fact approved the variant to the integrated environmental authorization – AIA of the Monterazzano landfill with a new reservoir in which to continue to deliver waste from the entire Region.
Even the Rocca administration persists in considering Viterbo the dustbin of Rome and it is not known for how long. The environmental compatibility ruling specifies, in fact, the assumption of constant contributions for the next few years, which would make the new reservoir, with a capacity of 646,800 tonnes, useful for only 7 years.
We invite our opposition colleagues to give their voice in support of the territory they represent, to abandon the logic of political belonging and to make their dissent heard towards the political bodies that are once again using our city as a landfill for Lazio.
