BA Summer lights up. Among the debuts Notte Bianca (with Bustocco timetable) and student festival – ilBustese.it

One hundred and thirty events, eight sections, 42 associations, 38 places (including parks): BA Estate reveals the program from June to September and appears like a propitiatory rite on these very rainy days. A confirmation, which grows richer from year to year: for example, the first one also arrives white night in Busto Arsizio on June 27th (with bustocco cut, because it will last until midnight) and on first student festival, to give some examples.

With the Municipality, Ascom, the City Center Merchants Committee, the Commerce District, the Sacconago Merchants Association, on stage – in addition to Thursday evening shopping – cultural and sporting initiatives, music and entertainment evenings, social and educational events, institutional appointments, organized in collaboration and the indispensable involvement of associations and bodies. Several of the latter were present in the council chamber today at midday.

Always richer

The presentation was opened by the deputy mayor and councilor for culture Manuela Maffioli who thanked all the departments, collaborators, traders and the main sponsor Paglini Store. Among the commitments achieved, that of bringing more and more initiatives in the neighborhoods: «For example, on Saturday 29 June the arena in via Salgari, as we defined it, with baby dance and karaoke. Or on July 28th Borsano will host an event of the eighth edition of the storie di courtyard festival”. There will be no shortage of opportunities to discover Busto better with the educational service and cultural festivals; noteworthy is the return of Luca Virago and Diego Barbati.

On the social front, councilor Paola Reguzzoni spoke, also thanking all the volunteers: «We have included playful or in-depth moments, as well as Cuori in piazza (under construction). Or even music, food with sharing social dinners. We have a lot and the city does a lot.” The sporting calendar is very rich: «I am very happy that he is leaving the first stage of the Tre Valli Varesine handbike in Busto, which is part of the international circuit – said councilor Maurizio Artusa – I then watch the president of the Borsano Sechi cycling sports group who is having a wonderful cycling party with Scarponi’s brother». Without to forget the Cesare Vago memorial on June 1st with Pro Patria Scherma and many, many other events such as Busto Arsizio Sport which returns to fill the city center with open-air sport, creating a synergy with commerce. And running in September, the inevitable Busto Scopello.

Make way for young people

A Ba Summer that involves young people – noted councilor Daniela Cerana – also with the Trainspotting project: «The great news is that for the first time there will be a student festival in Busto Arsizio, at MalpensaFiere. Opportunity to meet and listen to speakers who talk about youth-level issues. With many local associations we will talk about work, sport, there will be musical activities, contests and a moment dedicated to politics, to involve young people in the concepts of the right to vote, hard-earned and earned.”

Within this program, a further intense chapter dedicated to the city’s patronal festival cannot be missing. Without neglecting those of the neighborhoods.

It started over 30 years ago

The president of Confcommercio Rudy Collini recalled how the city center traders committee began in 1993 to implement the first initiatives related to Thursday evening with the shops open, then the Commercial District and today what has been done is the result of a large and lively team: «The transversal involvement of the entire territory. Kick-off (the final program will be released shortly) on June 1st already with a trio: Night under the stars with Lumatiamo, the Vago memorial, the theater and comedy festival of the Insubri lands, but also the student festival, StudenTalk at MalpensaFiere on the weekend.
