Sassari, students return to the streets for Palestine

The demonstration against the war in Palestine will be held on Friday 17 May.

Also in Sassari we return to the streets for Palestine. The procession of students will be held tomorrow, May 17, protesting in the center of the city against Israel’s military action in the Gaza Strip and to ask for a ceasefire.

The demonstration is organized by the Students’ Assembly for Palestine and commemorates the Nakbathe Palestinian exodus of 1948, conventionally remembered on May 15th. The Assembly announces the event as “the beginning of the student intifada against the genocide in Palestine”, denouncing “the critical condition that one million and 400 thousand Palestinians will live in”.

At a local level, the students renew their request for the University of Sassari to interrupt any relationship with Leonardo Spa and ask that the city council and the mayor express themselves clearly for the Palestinian people and against the genocide. The procession will start at 6 pm from the Garibaldi hemicycle.
