BRINDISI – Monday 20 May, from 8.30 to 12, new appointment organized by the National Association of Magistrates together with the ASL Brindisi for an extraordinary blood collection in the internal car park of the Court.
Judges, lawyers and administrative staff of the Palace of Justice will be able to donate on board the ASL blood vehicle. Representatives of the management of the ASL Brindisi will also participate on this occasion.
“In the summer period – says the director of the Transfusion Centre, Antonella Miccoli – there is always a physiological decline in donors compared to an increase in the population due to the notable influx of tourists and holidaymakers. This year – he continues – the problem is aggravated by the G7 event which will see the arrival of over 5 thousand people in a few days. This makes a further commitment necessary to increase blood supplies and be ready to manage any emergency.”
The Brindisi Local Health Authority has planned a communication plan on blood donation on different channels to raise awareness among all citizens and network with institutions and associations. The Transfusion Center is also available to organize extraordinary collections by providing the blood bank and medical and technical staff.
