Viterbo – From Coccia hams to Catalani ceramics, companies on display at Unindustria

The “Imprese d’autore” exhibition has been inaugurated at the Unindustria headquarters in Valle Faul in Viterbo

VITERBO – A journey of images and shots that tell the stories of companies and entrepreneurs in the Viterbo area. This is the basic idea of the “Imprese d’autore” exhibition, a series of 115 photographs taken by photographer Renato Franceschin to immortalise the constant commitment of Viterbo companies, now crystallized over time at the Unindustria di Valle Faul headquarters in Viterbo.

The inauguration, held this morning, welcomed authorities and representatives of the companies involved in the project. Serving as master of ceremonies was the president of Unindustria Viterbo Sergio Saggini, of the Viterbo-based construction company of the same name. “An exhibition to make the city understand what it means to do business – he declared – When the entrepreneur returns home, deep down, he knows he is alone, but the association is that group of entrepreneurs who stay together to show their courage , today immortalized in these photos by Renato Franceschin. Businesses always work on social issues, creating jobs and contributing to the economic fabric.”

Alongside him, many personalities and local authorities, including the outgoing police commissioner Fausto Vinci and the prefect Gennaro Capo and the representatives of the 23 companies that appear in the author shots, all deliberately in black and white “Because they are timeless colours”, as specified by photographer Franceschin.

Also present was the mayor Chiara Frontini, who took the floor to reiterate how the commitment of local businesses is fundamental for the maintenance of the economic-social fabric of the city. “Companies are the skeleton of Viterbo and Tuscia – declared the first citizen – and telling the pride that is behind each of them means highlighting the beautiful part of the territory, because we don’t always have to just focus and complain of the things that don’t work in Viterbo”.

Similar words, but more aimed at rewarding the commitment of Tuscia companies, are those of the president of the Province Alessandro Romoli. “These activities have made the history of Viterbo and the territory – he declared – Companies that have had the strength to resist even the bureaucratic delays of politics. Companies that make us reflect again and that offer Tuscia a glimpse of economic growth and also dignity in terms of work and production. Politics must respect and support all this.”
