“In the afternoon/evening of Thursday, a new unstable/disturbed phase with widespread precipitation, mainly showers and thunderstorms; probable locally intense phenomena between the plains and the Prealps (strong showers, local hailstorms and strong gusts of wind) with even abundant quantities of precipitation during the most organized and insistent convective systems“: this is what the Arpav experts report in relation to the expected weather situation Veneto in the next few hours. As regards the general evolution, in the usual bulletin we read: “A large cyclonic area centered on the Bay of Biscay is conveying humid southern currents to Veneto: the weather will be unstable with precipitation, showers and thunderstorms on Thursday. On Friday, the influence of low pressure will be a little more marginal and will mainly affect the mountains and the northern plains. On Saturday the weather will be relatively more stable even in the mountainous areas; while on Sunday and Monday some stretches of variability could return“.
Today unstable, sometimes disturbed weather, with frequent cumulus clouds which will give rise to locally significant precipitation, with showers or thunderstorms, even of strong intensity. Snow limit at around 2500 m. Thinning and attenuation of phenomena in the late evening. Daytime temperatures slightly recovering compared to Wednesday, except for stationarity or local drops in the north-eastern plain. Moderate, temporarily tense winds at altitude from the southern sectors; in the plains moderate, or tense, mainly from the north-east, or at times from the east or south-east along the coast; possible reinforcements during storms.
According to the weather bulletin from the Arpa Veneto experts, Tomorrow variable cloudiness is expected, more present in the mountains and in the afternoon on the northern sectors of the plain; mostly sunny weather on the rest of the plain.
Precipitation: Mainly absent in the plains, except in the afternoon, in the foothill areas and on the north-eastern plain, medium-low probability (25-50%) of local precipitation, including showers or thunderstorms. In the mountains, medium-high probability (50-75%) of scattered precipitation, even with showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon, especially in the Pre-Alps; snow limit around 2400-2600 m.
Temperatures: Minimum without notable variations or slightly decreasing, especially in the plains; maximums increasing in the plains, almost stationary in the valleys, decreasing at altitude.
Winds: Moderate from the south-west at altitude; in variable valleys. Moderate to tense in the plains, mainly south-western, temporarily southerly along the coast in the evening.
Sea: From rough to moderately rough.
Saturday 18 slightly or partially cloudy skies, except for greater concentrations in the mountains starting from the central hours.
Precipitation: Mainly absent, except for a medium-low probability (25-50%) of isolated short precipitations in the afternoon hours in the mountains.
Temperatures: Minimum stationary or local variation; maximums recovering in the mountains and on the internal plain, without notable variations or in local decrease along the coast.
Winds: Weak from the south-west at altitude, variable in the valleys. Weak/moderate in the plains, north-eastern until the morning, then rotating until temporarily moving from the south-east.
Sea: Little rough.
Sunday 19th slightly to partially cloudy sky, with greater cloud cover starting from the central hours, when some precipitation is not excluded, especially in the internal areas. Temperatures: in the plains minimums increasing and maximums almost stationary, in the mountains minimums decreasing and maximums recovering.
Finally, according to the weather forecasts of the experts at Harp, Monday 20th in Veneto Variable cloudiness alternating with sunny spells is expected, with the possibility of some precipitation including showers. Minimum temperatures increasing, maximum without notable variations.
