“Out of good luck we didn’t want to immediately display the flag with the colors of Bologna, we kept our fingers crossed until the end” he explains Marco Marcatili, president of the Agro-Food Center of Bologna. But now the news is certain: Bologna will participate in the most prestigious European football competition. “From farmers, to wholesalers, to logistics: the entire platform wanted to participate in the celebrations. And we are proud to be able to welcome the temporary stadium in the Caab areas that will host the matches during the works at Dallara. Now we wait for Bologna to become our neighbor.”
“It is the recovery of a team that has lived through difficult times, but which has never lost the support of the city. The Champions League is a satisfaction that concerns everyone, especially as it comes sixty years after the Scudetto. Even the world of fruit and vegetables in Bologna wanted to join the celebration” he states Alessandro Bonfiglioli, director of Caab, with a thirty-year season ticket to the stadium, first to hoist the Bologna flag at the entrance to the Centre. Lots of enthusiasm, despite some tension over the upcoming match against Juventus: “we will be in the stands cheering, Juve is a great team, whatever happens the season has filled us with satisfaction” he states.
“People and companies from all over Italy and abroad operate at the CAAB, everyone has their own sporting and football preferences, but in the transfer gallery we were in agreement: Bologna must be celebrated, as citizens even before that as fans” explains Valentino Di Pisa , president of Fedagromercati, an association that brings together fruit and vegetable wholesalers. Reihaneh Eshraghi, business developer at CAAB, confirms: “I am Iranian by origin, but in the end the enthusiasm for Bologna dragged me along” he states.
