“I would like to stay in Reggio for many years. Never thought about leaving amaranth”

Miguel Martinez, goalkeeper of the Reggio Calabriaspoke to Southern Gazette and on his future he underlined:

“I would like to extend the contract beyond 2025. I thank the company for trusting me. After the experience in Pordenone, I found myself released due to the failure of the Friulians. At that point the call came from Reggina which gave me the opportunity to get back on track“.

The Spanish goalkeeper adds on brand and identity stories: “We are Reggina because we represent the city. A little more patience will be needed and in the summer the situation will return to normal. The management, as it has always reiterated, will not back down“.

On the period in which he did not play he underlines: “I never thought about leaving, in fact I redoubled my efforts during training, convincing the coach to reconsider his decision.
