Calabria drops poker. The most voted of all is Pasquale Tridico, former president of the INPS, spearhead of the Five Star Movement which holds sway in the South also thanks to the consensus of its leader who totals over 100 thousand preferences. The big surprise, however, is represented by Mimmo Lucano, the most voted on the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra list. A boom in votes pushed him towards Strasbourg, proclaiming him leader of the Calabrian left. On the other hand they are going strong Giusi Princi, third most voted in the Southern constituency among the ranks of Forza Italia with a consensus of just under 100 thousand votes, and the Melonian Denis Nesci who is confirmed in the European Parliament again by votes in the list of Brothers of Italy. Tridico, Lucano, Princi and Nesci are thus elected and fly to Strasbourg where they will represent Calabria.

Mancuso wins the derby with Loizzo
Filippo Mancuso you officially take the League by going beyond the threshold of twenty thousand votes and beating Simona Loizzo. The president of the regional council has his fill of preferences, especially in Catanzaro and the Catanzaro area, his fiefdoms. However, in the Northern League the most voted in the South is General Vannacci which goes beyond 70 thousand votes. In the Democratic Party, the excellent performance of Jasmine Crystal who with over 30 thousand votes is in seventh place in the southern constituency, just behind the big names and ahead of the other Calabrian, the former mayor of Serra San Bruno Luigi Tassone which concluded its run with over 14 thousand preferences. Above 4% in Calabria the United States of Europe with Filomena Greco which was the most voted in Calabria among its ranks while in Action Francesco De Nisi it also beats Calenda with a total of over 11 thousand preferences.

To summarize, in Calabria, when there are only a few sections left for the counting to be concluded, Fratelli d’Italia is the first party with 20.52%, followed by Forza Italia with 18.52%. On the lowest step of the podium at 16.15% we find the Five Star Movement. Fourth, a handful of votes behind the Five Star Movement, the Democratic Party with 15.93%. Nesci in Calabria has so far won 28,542 preferences (over 70 thousand in the entire Southern constituency), Tridico 26,601 (over 110 thousand in the entire Southern constituency), Lucano 22,340 (over 70 thousand preferences in the entire Southern constituency). A real boom for Princi, capable of obtaining 63,326 votes (over 81 thousand in the entire Southern Constituency). Furthermore, it is worth noting the 14,861 preferences won by Luciana De Francesco (regional councilor of Fratelli d’Italia), as well as Riccardo Rosa (provincial coordinator of Noi Moderati of the province of Cosenza), a candidate with Forza Italia who has obtained 11,367 preferences so far.
