National Headache Week: free visits and consultations in Bergamo, Brescia and Mantua
On the occasion of National Headache Week, on May 27, 2024 Onda Foundation involves hospitals with the Pink Sticker to offer free clinical-diagnostic and information services: neurological visits, consultations with experts, evaluation tests, info points, conferences and distribution of dedicated material.
Migraine it is a chronic pathology that It affects approximately 12 percent of adults worldwidewith a prevalence three times higher in women. According to the World Health Organization, it is the third most frequent disease and the second most disabling, thus entailing a very high human, social and economic cost.
The aim of this initiative in its second edition is raise awareness among the population of the importance of early recognition of symptoms for timely access to specific diagnosis and treatment pathways and for a better quality of life for patients.
