The new Lions Governor of District 108Ia1 is from Novara

Roberto Turri will take office on 1 July 2024.

On Sunday 12 May, during the XXIX Closing Congress of the Lions District 108Ia1, the Governor who will manage the district including northern, eastern Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta for the financial year 2024/2025 was elected.

Roberto Turri, who will officially take office on 1 July 2024, was born in Novara on 15 October 1956, married to Maria Silvia, and has a daughter Debora, former district president of the Leos. Graduated in pharmacy in 1986, owner of the Sillavengo pharmacy since 1992, he was awarded the honor of merit of Knight of the Italian Republic in 2015. Member of the Novara Ticino Lions Club, which he presided over in the 2012/2013 financial year, he held, among others, the positions of Area President (2020/2021), District Officer of the Diabetes area and of the GMT Team. Guiding Lions since 2022, in the same year he was awarded the Lions highest honor of Melvin Jones Fellow.

His vast curriculum of commitment to the community is enriched by the title of President of the cultural association La Nuova Era” from 2013 to 2017, President of the Association for Novara Twinning from 2016 to 2022, secretary of the Eastern Piedmont Healthcare Association since 2018 to 2022.

The First Vice Governor of district 108Ia1 Giovanna Sereni, and the Second Vice Governor, Ettore Puglisi, were also elected at the same venue.
