Lamborghini is one of the most prestigious brands in Italy today. Founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963 it quickly rose to the top in the sports and luxury car segment. The clash with Ferrari was historic and saw the owners of the two brands as protagonists for years. Since 1998, after years of ups and downs, Lambo has become part of the Audi Group and from there a new explosion began for the Emilian company.
In particular, in recent years he has been at the head of Lamborghini Stefano Domenicali, historic Ferrari man, who brought the production of the Sant’Agata Bolognese company to levels never seen before. Lamborghini Temerario: details on the new model
There is great anticipation for the new one Lamborghini Temerario, a model that promises to have power never seen before on a car of this type. From the first rumors it seems, in fact, that the Italian company has abandoned the V10 engine and in its place will mount a twin-turbo hybrid V8 capable of reaching 10,000 rpm.
However, the CEO took care of making Lamborghini lovers dream Stephan Winkelmannwho, through a post appearing on the Microsoft LinkedIn social network, announced that the hybrid system will be equipped with three electric motors capable of releasing a maximum power of over 900 HP.
In short, truly amazing numbers that give a bit of a sense of what this car will be. The Temerario (name not yet confirmed, but increasingly probable), is thought to replace the Huracan. The twin-turbo hybrid V8 will be 4.0 liters and 789 HP, capable of releasing a maximum torque of 729 nm at 4,000/7,000 rpm. It will then have an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Supercars, will the future be electric?
Winkelmann also took stock of the situation of electric supercars. In this sense, the market is still proceeding slowly. The problem is above all about emotional nature. Customers who want that type of car also ask for the classic sound of a powerful combustion engine, which is certainly not replicable with modern electric engines. Winkelmann, however, despite recognizing these problems, did not say he was against electric for the future of the brand.
The Temerario will have performances close to those of the Revuelto, which in turn features an engine that produces 814 hp and 725 nm of torque. At Lamborghini, however, they are sure that this new model will manage to maintain its own distinct personality. As regards the official presentation of this new racing car, it is scheduled for the end of 2024.
In recent months, the Temerario has already been spotted near Sant’Agata Bolognese, a bit camouflaged as always. There is great anticipation on the part of both customers and car enthusiasts for a model that promises to be one of the most beautiful and powerful ever produced by the Italian company.
