Tomorrow 15 May at the Cinema De Seta, inside the Cantieri Culturali della Zisa in Palermo, with a scheduled start at 11.00, the final event of the Pina and Libero Grassi Prize 2024 will take place, which also in this edition has offered Italian schools of all levels to carry out interviews or surveys on the theme: “Knowing the territory for active and responsible citizenship”.
The initiative – promoted by the social cooperative Solidaria and carried out in collaboration with Confcommercio Imprese per l’Italia – boasts the free patronage of the Municipality of Palermo and the Order of Journalists of Sicily and the membership of the Ass. Acunamatata Onlus, of the Ass. Uniomnia, of the coop. social Work and beyond, of the NoE social cooperative, of the Libero Grassi Coordination, of the Giorgio Ambrosoli Prize and of the Ass. SOS Enterprise Network for legality Aps.
During the event, prizes will be awarded to the school groups selected by the Prize Jury composed, in this edition, of: Alice Grassi and Alfredo Chiodi, representing the qdi Pina and Libero family, the journalists Marina Turco and Francesco Appari, the teacher Matilde Costantino and Salvatore Cernigliaro, President of Solidaria.
The first prizes were awarded this year to two Apulian schools: the Istituto Comprensivo “Foscolo Gabelli” of Foggia, for the video interview “Vazapp: Cultivating beauty”, and the Liceo Scientifico “A. Vallone” of Galatina (LE), for the video investigation “Il canale dell’Asso”. Furthermore, special mentions were awarded to the “Oppido Molochio Varapodio” Comprehensive Institute of Oppido Mamertina (RC), to the “Taverna” Comprehensive Institute of Taverna (CZ), to the “Laeng Meucci” Institute of Higher Education – Castelfidardo headquarters (AN) and at the “E. Fermi” Scientific High School in Sciacca (AG).
