Rome, 9 June. (Adnkronos) – “2035 is experienced as the imposition that it is: it is not a choice that the manufacturers, nor Suzuki nor anyone else, have made. It is a political decision, a European Union law to which we must all adapt Perhaps there are those who have started a little early, investing in the electric car right away and this is creating some disharmony. We customers still don’t seem to be so in love with this solution. There are at least two issues to be resolved: prices of electric cars remain high, then the electric car is recharged if there is an adequate charging network, it is difficult to make do at home, especially for those who live in condominiums. We therefore experience it as a great uncertainty because the market says ‘we are not convinced’, the law that ‘it is better for you to be convinced’. Massimo Nalli, president of Suzuki Italia, said at the 2024 Election Night organized by Adnkronos, regarding the provision that provides for a ban on polluting fuels starting from 2035.

“The next elections will tell whether it will be possible to have a forecast of the timetables for the transition to electric but – underlines Nalli – the picture is quite gloomy. It is necessary to remain open with investments, including electric, in order to be ready to embrace and interpret the different technologies that, in Suzuki’s opinion, will be successful. We are available to support whatever technology the law allows to be used.”
