Modigliana (Forlì), 14 May 2024 – On 26 May 2023 it was announced that the collapsed bridge in Modigliana in via Carlo Alberta Dalla Chiesa, known as di Ca’ Stronchino for the nearby artisan area, it would have been rebuilt with 500 thousand euros, part of the donations collected on the IBAN account set up with the reason ‘Help now. Emilia Romagna’.

The Cà Stronchino bridge

The bridge, built in bricks and concrete in the 1960s by the ‘Cooperativa Italia’, was supported on both banks of the Marzeno river and was knocked down by the floods of the river and by the trees that they brought with them, violently slamming into a pillar of the bridge, ending up destroying it.

The bridge still stands intact, compared to the serious damage suffered 12 months ago, on the municipal road parallel to provincial road no. 20 towards Faenza, which has since been passable in the ‘Riva della Pappona’ area only in an alternating one-way direction and regulated by traffic lights, because following a landslide resulting from torrential rain, half the roadway it came off and it is fell into a chasm.

From a first estimate from the well-known Essen design studio in Faenza of approximately 1.2 million of euros to intervene by repairing the important infrastructure, we then moved on to 2.4 million of which 1,130,000 collected from various donations in favor of the Municipality, then delivered by Mayor Jader Dardi to the Commissioner General Figliolo which in turn transferred them to the Sogenid company which will take care of their reconstruction.
