Cicloevento, the village dedicated to 2 wheels

The international Cicloevento fair in Cesenatico returns to Piazza Andrea Costa, the space that belongs to it and where it was born in the nineties. After being canceled last year due to the flood and the previous year having been moved to via Litorale Marina where the headquarters of the Fausto Coppi sports club is located, we return to the original version which has always been much appreciated. In the control room there are Confesercenti and Confartigianato of Cesenatico, united in a consortium. In the setting of the Grand Hotel and the skyscraper of Cesenatico, you will see and touch the latest bicycles, accessories and the most recent “inventions” related to pedal-powered two-wheelers. The appointment is next Friday and Saturday.

It is a large village extending over 20,000 square meters, of which 2,000 square meters are covered, which in addition to Piazza Costa also occupies part of the Viale Carducci seafront and the first part of Viale Roma. There are 50 exhibiting companies, representing the most prestigious brands that produce and market bicycles, accessories, handlebars, wheels, gears, helmets, glasses, saddles, technical clothing, food supplements, anti-theft systems, specialized magazines and other products. Among the most important companies: Gobik, Abus Italia, Cicli Neri, Garmin Italia, Vittoria, Carrera, Luxottica, Salice Occhiali, Look Italia, Somec, Selle Italia, Moa Sport, Enervit, Colnago and Cipollini. Fabrizio Albertini, exponent of Confesercenti and president of Cicloevento, believes in the restart: “It is an unmissable event for cycling enthusiasts, we have reached the twenty-seventh edition of the International Cycle Tourism Fair and we are hosting fifty of the most important Italian and foreign companies, involved to propose everything necessary to practice this sport”.

Lucio Sacchetti, historic pillar of Confartigianato and vice-president of Cicloevento, is very motivated: “For the fair, the two associations that formed the consortium collaborate with Fausto Coppi and the municipal administration. The combination with the Nove Colli granfondo is a winning one and the expo is a good driving force for tourism and companies in Cesenatico in general.”

internazione will open its doors on the morning of Friday 17 May and will remain open to the public until 11pm; On Saturday 18 May the gates will open at 9.30am and close at 10pm. Entrance is always free. As an appetizer on Thursday in Piazza Andrea Costa the “Racing Village” will open with the delivery of race packages to those registered for the Nove Colli. Among the events worth mentioning on Friday afternoon were the creation of three freestyle performances, with the participation of Alessandro Barbero.
