«I am a foreigner. The doctor was ill, he dictated the prescriptions to me and I filled them out, signed them and went to buy the medicines.” Just naivety, according to the accused. But not for the Prosecutor’s Office. According to the prosecution, with those drugs Elena Vasi Susma would have murdered doctor Danilo Molducci, acting in agreement with Stefano Molducci, son of the general practitioner from Campiano. Both are on trial for voluntary manslaughter for the death of the 67-year-old, found dead on May 28, 2021 in his home in Via Violaro, where he had retired. But while the sentence from the assize court is expected in June, yesterday her 52-year-old maid, originally from Romania, appeared on trial again before judge Tommaso Paone for the recipes written in her hand. Even before the doctor died, in fact, a complaint filed by two separate pharmacies had triggered an investigation into an alleged clandestine drug trafficking, culminating in a criminal decree of conviction which the caregiver – defended by the lawyer Antonio Giacomini – challenged by choosing the process. So in the parallel trial, the 52-year-old chose to answer the questions of the honorary deputy prosecutor Katia Ravaioli, giving her own version.
