As part of the objectives identified within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, aimed at combating crime, illegal immigration and urban and social decay, targeted interventions have been carried out in the last month throughout the provincial territory services, called “High Impact”, by the territorial law enforcement forces, State Police, Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza with the help of the Local Police of Pesaro and Fano, and aggregate personnel of the Crime Prevention and Unit Units dog lovers.
The activity was set up in terms of an integrated and prolonged effort, focusing in the province on the public park of Miralfiore and the Pesaro railway station, the historic center of Fano and the public places of the two municipalities.
The activity was carried out on the basis of preliminary planning of the operational scenarios outlined in the first part of the year, and in particular: combating illegal immigration; combating drug dealing; fight against urban decay.
At the end of the activity carried out, a total of eight foreign citizens, dangerous to public order and safety, were expelled from the national territory and accompanied across the border by plane. In this context, the controls were extended to the municipalities of Vallefoglia and Urbino. Another man, a Moroccan, recipient of an expulsion decree from the Prefect of Como with a ban on entry into Italian territory for 5 years, was arrested by the Polfer. Five people were arrested for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs, all for events that occurred during checks between Pesaro and Fano, and 15 people were reported to the Prefecture as drug users. 3 detention orders were also carried out. Approximately 1,900 kg. of narcotic substances seized overall, mostly marijuana and hashish, but also cocaine, heroin, crack and hallucinogenic mushrooms. 14 prevention measures issued by the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters regarding the fight against urban decay.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Local Police of Pesaro and Fano, during checks on public places two clubs and two amusement arcades were sanctioned. The Traffic Police carried out the relevant checks, contesting 62 violations and proceeding with the withdrawal of 9 driving licences, 8 of which for driving under the influence of alcohol and one for driving under the influence of narcotic substances. A total of 1388 people were controlled, 383 of whom were foreign. The joint activities will continue during the summer season.
