Psg, 80 million for Kvara: Napoli resists

Nervous, at times angry. Not very clear in his choices, not very effective in building the game. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s last match was the manifesto of a bad year for Napoli and a period of particular tension for its brightest star. The future of Kvara is the big topic of the moment, after the first interim meeting for the renewal and with the second arriving at the end of the season. The scenarios, at the moment, are open to any solution, because faced with an indecent offer – read at least 120-130 million euros, like Victor Osimhen’s release clause – even Aurelio De Laurentiis’ resistance can falter. Napoli’s unsuccessful year does not allow us to exclude any eventuality, because it is true that De Laurentiis wants to secure the Georgian with a contract as a top player, but it is equally true that Kvara could wish to continue his growth path in the Champions League, the showcase more coveted.

temptation

The situation is delicate, but in the meantime there is one certainty: De Laurentiis has a contract signed until 2027 on his side, which puts him in a strong position with respect to Kvara’s possible stomach aches. But last summer he taught that keeping dissatisfied players leads nowhere, on the contrary there is a risk of infecting the locker room and then losing the main point of reference: the good of Napoli. In the first meeting between the parties which took place a couple of weeks ago, the agent Mamuka Jugeli brought to De Laurentiis’s attention Barça’s pressure for his client, but also the concrete interest of PSG, which has been engaged for months in the search to Mbappé’s replacements. Napoli and PSG have always had excellent relations and president Nasser Al Khelaifi is also in pole position to secure Victor Osimhen, for whom it will be enough to pay the release clause of around 130 million. A lot for a normal club, nothing for PSG who can also reinvest all the money that he will no longer have to guarantee to Mbappé. A nice saving, which he could also decide to transform into an all-in for Napoli’s golden couple. Too? Maybe yes, at least seen from the side of Napoli, who without the possibility of playing in the Champions League would have a very hard time replacing the two stars, despite the much money they could have at their disposal.

renewal from top

So, it’s better to separate the two negotiations, also because Osimhen always dreams of the Premier League and Chelsea, so there is still work to be done. Kvara, on the other hand, would also be willing to continue in blue but with a clear and winning project, and in the face of an important contractual adjustment. Jugeli has asked De Laurentiis for a new agreement of 5 million net plus bonuses to renew the contract, while the Italian owner would be willing to reach 4 million and insert a release clause. There is distance, not closure. But PSG wants to get involved in the discussion, perhaps trying to offer 80 million plus Kolo Muani’s loan – with paid wages – to Napoli to get Kvara. Who would be perfect in Luis Enrique’s 4-3-3, but also the man around whom De Laurentiis wants to build the relaunch project. Will Aurelio be able to resist PSG’s assault? Two weeks and we will understand more: Kvara wants to go to the European Championship with his future already decided.
