GIULIANOVA. The division into sub-divisions of the development plan presented by the company “Azienda Agricola Eredi Migliori” was approved by the municipal council. This is a plan already approved a few months ago by the city council which concerns a vast land of three and a half hectares in the northern Giulianova area, near via Montello and near the ancient Salinello tower, the current headquarters of the “Migliori” shop. In fact, the owners of the land have currently found only one buyer for part of the plot and have therefore asked the municipal administration to divide the land into sub-sections to speed up the start of the works. This is land which, in terms of monetization, provides the Municipality of Giulianova with 954,837 euros in proceeds, divided into four sub-sections of approximately 240 thousand euros each. The settlement, located between Via Montello, state road 16, the former Scibilia complex and the former Di Giampietro furnace, is among the largest in the city. In fact, an increase in the population of around 600 inhabitants is expected within a completely new neighborhood made up of apartments, villas, shops and greenery.
The green areas must comply with the fees imposed by the legislation and furthermore, within the areas intended for car parking, there must be stalls reserved for bicycles. A cycle path will also need to be created and sidewalks will also need to be set up. “That plan must start as soon as possible,” says the public works councilor Giampiero Di Candido, «it is fundamental for the development of our city to the north and represents an advantage for the Municipality in monetary terms and for the planned public works. The approval of the sub-funds serves precisely this purpose. For many years the area was blocked and like this we have restarted the procedures for many other areas located in the municipal territory”.
