I ctrucks arrived on the morning of today 13 May at the San Miniato Slaughterhouse Consortiumati welcomed by ain protest of animal rights activists. Animal activists, outside the gates with signs and slogans, shouted at trucks of pigs, cattle and one with a horse.
“All poor creatures – they say – killed without mercy. We shouted our anger and disgust towards the killing of these innocent people.” For GTo ensure order and public service, the police also arrived on site.
Nearly 50 people from various Tuscan provinces participated in the regularly authorized protest event. “A job – they explain – of synergy and coordination that made it possible to act as an echo to the cries of the animals silenced by the soundproof walls. The protest ended at 10am, but the anti-speciesist action continued for another hour in front of the supermarkets.
