The Laimburg Provincial Winery opens its doors to the Night of the Cellars

An opportunity not to be missed: the Felsenkeller (rock cellar), one of a kind, opens its doors to celebrate South Tyrolean wine art. Guided tours take place every half hour. Enthusiasts will be able to “train” their sense of smell on the “aroma path”. The cellars, estates and distilleries of Tramin, Kurtatsch, Margreid, Salurn, Neumarkt, Montan, Pfaten participate in the “Night of Cellars”. A shuttle service ensures safe travel from winery to winery to ensure a carefree evening. In 1975 the province of Südtirol founded the Laimburg winery in parallel with the ‘Laimburg Testing Centre’.

Over the years, the Laimburg winery has become a flagship of regional viticulture on an international level and represents the perfect symbiosis between theory and practice. This trailblazing role is due to the very high quality standards that the winery sets for itself in terms of viticulture and winemaking. The company sources its grapes from territories that constitute the best national vineyards and produces approximately 2,500 hectoliters of wine per year.

Fifteen typical Südtirol vines represent the heart of the Laimburg product range. The bottles are divided into Vini del podere and the premium Selezione Maniero line. Both assortments follow the basic principles of the winery: the authentic nature of the vine must be recognized and the vinification serves to express its essence and most beautiful facets.
