The Romanian community of Velletri is mourning the tragic death of Ene Vasilica, the 38-year-old resident in the city of Castelli Romani who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday 5 June, around 3.30 am, due to a tragic accident on the Work.
The tragedy occurred at a logistics company in Borgo Santa Maria, on the outskirts of Latina. The tragic accident occurred at the headquarters of CDF Logistica, a company specialized in the provision of logistics services for large-scale retail trade.
According to initial reconstructions, the accident occurred during goods handling operations, due to dynamics that are being examined by the competent authorities, who intervened immediately on site to ascertain the causes of the accident and guarantee safety in the area.
The reactions to this latest tragedy at work were not long in coming. «Another accident at work, another sudden death, another episode of what has now, by numbers, become a war bulletin», jointly declared the secretary of Ugl Lazio Armando Valiani and the person responsible for safety in the workplace Wladymiro Wysocki. The words of the trade unionists underline the urgency of more effective interventions and more rigorous safety measures to prevent further tragedies.
The death of Ene Vasilica unfortunately adds to an already too long list of workplace victims, once again raising the importance of protecting worker safety in all sectors.
