The municipal administration announces the publication of the notice for the reopening of the terms for expressing membership in the youth council, thus accepting the request expressed by the members of the body during the session of 8 April to implement the number of attendances of young. Interested parties such as associations, committees and voluntary, school, university, religious, social, environmental organizations must express their membership by completing the attached form, duly completed and signed, together with a copy of the valid document, and send it by and no later than 12pm on 14 June 2024, to [email protected] – addressed to the Department of Youth Policies.

THE requirements necessary for the candidacy concern: not having had criminal convictions; not hold institutional positions; be aged between 16 and 26. Minors designated as representatives must present authorization from a parent, guardian or guardian, who declares possession of the aforementioned rights of the minor; be residents in the municipality of Messina or, if non-residents, have a stable relationship with the municipal territory for reasons of work, study, volunteering or in general for reasons that involve a real and lasting bond with the municipal territory.
The Youth Council established, following the approval of the relevant regulation with resolution of the City Council 437/C of 14.12.2022, is a non-partisan body for communication and connection between the new generations wanted by the Administration through the councilor to the Liana Cannata branch, which operates on a non-profit basis, and which bases its civil commitment on mutual availability, without affecting the autonomy of the individual associations. Thanks to the Consulta, young people have the opportunity to discuss initiatives and proposals that concern them to then bring to the attention of the Administration and the Municipal Council in order to encourage synergistic work between young people and institutions and express opinions and considerations on acts and projects to encourage their socio-cultural, creative and educational growth.
On the occasion of the reopening of the tender, councilor Cannata announces that the administration’s next appointment with the youth council is set for on May 23rd at 6pmin the Bandiere hall in Palazzo Zanca for a discussion on ideas and proposals within the scope of the initiative called “Let’s meet up”.
