The actress will open the show on Wednesday 28 August and will close it with the awards ceremony on 7 September
Sveva Alviti will be the godmother of the 81st International Film Festival of the Venice Biennale. The announcement arrived on Saturday 12 May. The actress will inaugurate the exhibition on the evening of Wednesday 28 August 2024, on the stage of the Sala Grande, at the Palazzo del cinema on the Lido to also do the honors at the closing ceremony scheduled for 7 September, with the announcement of the awards.
Studies as an actress and modeling activity
Born in Rome, Sveva Alviti studied acting with some of the best American teachers, including the famous coach Susan Batson, and at the same time pursued her modeling career. His Broadway debut was in 2009, with a starring role in The Interrogation. In Venice he made his debut two years later, in 2011, with the short film Alice by Roberto de Paolis. In 2012 she starred in Nothing can stop us by Luigi Cecinelli e Good morning Dad by Edoardo Leo.

BETWEEN VITTI AND DALIDA
In 2013 she was among the protagonists of Cam Girlsdirected by Mirca Viola, while at the Quirino Theater in Rome he stages a show dedicated to Monica Vitti inspired by the film Drama of jealousy. In 2017 the great international spotlight arrives with Dalida by Lisa Azuelos, a biopic on the famous French singer and actress which earned her a nomination for best emerging actress at the Cesar awards.

In 2018 he starred alongside Jean Claude Van Damme in Lukas, released in over 250 theaters in France, Belgium and the United Kingdom, and starring Michael Madsen in Love Addict. In 2019 you filmed in France, directed by Fabienne Redt, Beignets de Songe and receives the Kinéo award as Guest Star in Venice. Three years later she won the award for best performer at the Rome Independent Film Festival for her co-starring role in Marco Amenta’s film Among the waves. In 2023 he is the protagonist of Entres les Vagues by Anaïs Volpé, presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the Quinzaine des Cinéastes section and winner of numerous awards throughout France. The same year she appeared on French TV in the series against violence against women 24 hours a day and makes his directorial debut with the short film Les jours d’aprés.

THE LANDING ON NETFLIX
It comes out in March 2023 AKA her first film for Netflix – where she plays the female protagonist Natalya – a film that had great success on the platform. From September 15th she will air the second season of Nudesproduced by Rai Fiction, and in autumn 2024 he will take part in an American project that will talk about the topic of MeToo entitled The other side of fame. The actress is preparing to start filming Walking through the firehis directorial debut for a documentary which will talk about women, addictions and depression.
