Modica – The leaders PVT Modica closes the regular season with another clear success and prepares for the playoffs of the championship B2 women’s volleyball series.
Yesterday afternoon, coach D’Amico’s red and whites achieved yet another full success, clearly beating the “Geodetic” there Race Finance San Lucido.
For the red and whites of Modica, who for a few weeks had conquered the leadership of group L mathematically, it was a sort of dress rehearsal in view of the playoffs. Coach D’AmicoIn fact, it also gave space to those who played less during the season to take stock of the form of the entire roster at their disposal.
Basically the race against San Lucido it only lasted one set. The Calabrians, in fact, tried to keep up with the team’s sextet County only in the opening partial which Ferrantello and teammates won 25/21.
From the second half of the game onwards, San Lucido she left the court leaving the green light to the Modicans who didn’t have to wait to close the matter by largely winning (25/9 and 25/11) the other two sets, taking home another three points in the standings.
The red and whites close the regular season with 25 victories And only one defeat. From the 25 victories conquered by Brioli and good companions 24 were obtained for 3 – 0 And 1 For 3 – 1.
From tomorrow everyone will be focused on the challenge playoffs against the Star Volley Bisceglie.
The two teams have already faced each other twice this season in the play-offs to access the Italian Cup Final Four. On that occasion the Modica team won in three sets “Geodetic” in the first leg and then they were defeated by the same score in the return leg Biscegliewith the Apulian team taking the pass for the Final Four winning the Golden Set.
Now there will be promotion between the two teams up for grabs B1. Race 1 it will be played next Saturday in Bisceglie starting at 18While race 2 is scheduled to “Geodetic” Wednesday 22 May at 9pm. In case of a tie at the end of the two matches to decide which team will go B1also in this case the Golden Set.
