A festive catwalk. After having rejoiced “on the sofa” last Monday evening, Freedom FC Women launches with enthusiasm towards the penultimate matchday of Serie B: the blue and whites host Genoa at the “Fratelli Paschiero” Stadium, in the last home match scheduled Sunday 12 May at 12. A unique opportunity to celebrate all together, club, team, staff and fans, the mathematical salvation, achieved with two rounds to spare: but also the way to say goodbye to the friendly public at the end of a long and intense season, culminating with the the historic goal achieved of staying in the cadet championship. A party, yes, but there is also the match: Mister Michele Ardito’s team is looking for a performance and a positive result to greet their supporters with another smile, against a very respectable opponent.
THE OPPONENT – Genoa Cricket is currently seventh in the standings: the team led by Antonio Filippini has obtained 41 points so far, the result of 12 wins, 5 draws and 11 defeats. Among the rossoblu ranks, one to keep an eye on and public danger number 1, striker Caterina Bargi, undisputed top scorer of the tournament with 22 goals to her name. In midfield, the young captain born in 2003 stands out, Giada Abate, who grew up in Grifone’s youth team and has returned to being a great protagonist on the pitch this season, after being stopped due to a cruciate injury suffered in March 2023.
