When the concession expired, the Municipality opened the construction site for the renovation of the premises. After 7 months, a visitor to the area tells us, very little has been done and the summer season risks being cancelled
AAA bar wanted. Walking along the Lungotalvera promenades on the bank of via Cadorna, this could be the traveller’s mantra. Because once the concession to the former managers ended towards the end of last year, the doors of the only venue on that side of the Bolzano greenery, the Bar Pippo, have never reopened, leaving a void in service for anyone who usually frequents this area.
He is a citizen resident in Bolzano, father of three children, to point out to us the situation of growing degradation, as well as discomfort for those who live nearby and love living in this area of the city: “Despite the barriers signaling the start of a construction site a few months ago, very little has been done and the expression of interest to reassign the management of the venue was published only a few days ago. This makes me foresee that the bar will most likely not reopen for the summer season, leaving us walkers without the possibility of refreshment and being able to use the toilets.”
A situation that does not seem to have been taken into hand by the Municipality effectively: “Seeing a construction site almost at a standstill for 7 months raises suspicions of indolence and carelessness on the part of the institutions, which would also benefit from the revenue coming from the rent of the bar. It’s a shame that a central and popular area of the city is now in a state of abandonment and that the refreshment offer is completely absent from this entire side of the promenades. I am thinking of making a report on the SensorCivico portal, but I don’t know if it would help to shake up the Municipality. We hope that a manager willing to invest in this structure will soon be found.”
