Enchanting places, exceptional artistic direction, music that embraces seafaring. Sopravènto is born, the music festival of the Municipality of Fano organized by Rebel House, with the artistic direction of Colapesce and Dimartino. It is divided into three days, 24, 25, 26 May, with events promoted in several daily moments and in characteristic places and contexts.

The central location

If the fulcrum of the shows will be the former church of San Francesco, an open-air monument, which will host as many concerts for three evenings, various other places in the navy will be the stage for meetings between the protagonists of the event and will dress up to host the custodians of the maritime tradition, who will dialogue with artists, journalists and politicians, to discuss the theme of the sea and its sociological, historical and cultural value, to which this festival aims to give a heartfelt and renewed dignity. «In seafaring, the term windward identifies everything found on the side from which the wind blows – explain the promoters Mattia Priori and Serena Pierfranceschi – in our case it is everything that will happen in three days of music and meetings, when emotions will take over and everyone will be exposed to the “risk” of relationships: when the sea dialogues with the historic center, the sailors will return and the call of the sirens will be a song.”

The golden couple

The artistic direction was entrusted to Colapesce and Dimartino, who in recent years have been riding the wave of success, for several reasons. In their poetic narration the sea element is never marginal and they recently revisited the song “I Marinai” by Ivan Graziani, composed and inspired, according to sources, by listening to a choir of sailors from our area. And the great and awaited guest of the final evening of the festival will be Filippo Graziani, with a musical incursion by Colapesce and Dimartino. A moment in which we will certainly remember the figure of the great singer-songwriter and his song re-edited this year by the artistic directors. From 2019 to today, Filippo has been dedicating himself to disseminating his father’s wonderful repertoire through live shows that contribute to making the new generations aware of an artist who represented a turning point in Italian rock.

The inauguration

The event will be inaugurated by two artists from the Marche region: Maria Antonietta and Colombre will be the protagonists of an unprecedented concert for two. Colombre is the Senigallia native Giovanni Learnato. Like the sea monster in Buzzati’s story, from which it takes its name, it emerges from the water, releasing the album “Pulviscolo” in 2017. The third album was released in 2023. Maria Antonietta is a singer-songwriter from Pesaro; last year you released your fourth album “La Tigre Assenza”. In the second evening Nicolò Carnesi and Any Other will perform. The three evenings will begin at 8.30pm. The festival will be accompanied by collective gestures around the city which will be revealed in the coming days and will also see various associations activated. Tickets on sale on liveticket.it.
