The A9 motorway, closed on Friday morning due to an accident with several injured near Fino Mornasco, has been reopened, although the queues forming towards Switzerland have not yet been cleared.

The 11-year-old son is now hospitalized in Bergamo, at the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital in very serious conditions. Rescuers found him in cardiac arrest and managed to resuscitate him on the spot. Doctors are evaluating the brain damage he could have suffered.
The child’s mother also suffered serious injuries
According to the Italian media, the injuries of the other occupants were a little less serious. His father, a 52-year-old, reportedly suffered injuries to his arm. Her 56-year-old mother suffered serious injuries to her abdomen, back and one arm. Both were transported to the Sant’Anna hospital in San Fermo della Battaglia
The 16-year-old daughter was virtually unharmed, but was still taken to hospital for checks.
The 39-year-old driving the other car was hospitalized with abdominal trauma.
