Parma, 3 June 2024 – The RESEARCHERS@SCHOOL program is growingwhich for the second edition reconfirmed its success by doubling the number of participating schools in Parma and its province and significantly increasing the number of students who participated in workshops, scientific themed games, demonstrations and interactive seminars held in schools by 75 teachers, researchers, doctoral students and research fellows from the University of Parma.

The 2023-24 edition indeed involved 28 schools in Parma and the province, 187 classes And 4230 primary school students (little researchers) and first and second degree secondary schools (young researchers).

There were different disciplinary fields of the 24 proposed activities: from chemistry to biology, from pharmacy to medicine, and then mathematics, physics, engineering, geology, ecology, veterinary medicine, linguistics and literature.

RESEARCHERS@SCHOOL is part of the European Night of Researchers, organized by the University with the collaboration of Frascati Scienza (leader of the initiative at national level), and responds to a precise indication of the European Commission, which expressed the desire to reduce the distance between the world of research and educational institutions by introducing the new program dedicated to schools.

Thanks to this initiative dissemination activities are designed or reformulated to be carried out right at school.
