SCIACCA – In the context of activities aimed at combating drug dealing and their consumption in schools by teenagers, the Agrigento Police Headquarters has carried out checks in recent days in a Sciacca School Institute.

The staff of the Sciacca Public Security police station, assisted by the canine units of the Palermo Police Headquarters, went to a Scholastic Institute and has checked different environments (classrooms, gyms, bathrooms, corridors) e thanks to the use of canine unitsthey were 23 doses of hashish and marijuana were foundalready packaged and probably ready for dealing, abandoned on the ground or hidden in some rooms.

Furthermore, inside a student’s backpack were found and seized two doses of hashish. For this reason the young man was reported to the Prefecture of Agrigento as a drug user.
The Headmaster, who had hoped for control, has expressed applause for the important activity which serves as a warning to young people and an invitation to a healthy lifestyle away from the dangers of illicit drug use.
School activities interrupted
THE controls that have involved all students of the Institute do not have interrupted the daily activities schools.
There State Police, like every year also for the current school year, it is busy in targeted checks in Agrigento schools and the province and the prevention and repression of drug trafficking will continue.
