Sandro Ruotolo
The former parliamentarian of the Democratic Party, Sandro Ruotolo is a candidate for the municipal council of Castellammare di Stabia in the administrative elections to be held in June.
Ruotolo is the leader of the Democratic Party, supporting the mayoral candidate Luigi Vicinanza, also a retired journalist.
“The Municipality of Castellammare returns to the vote after its dissolution two years ago due to Camorra infiltration. The municipality was dissolved at the time, but the Camorra certainly wasn’t dissolved. And now, more than ever, we must make our presence felt in the area; we have to take it back – wrote Ruotolo on social media to motivate his return to the pitch -. The Municipality will have to be a glass house, and we will be “Caesar’s wife”: above all suspicion.
This is why I accepted the candidacy as leader of the Democratic Party in the administrative elections of the Municipality of Castellammare, in support of the mayoral candidate Luigi Vicinanza, together with my concurrent candidacy for the European Parliament.
Because I will be the municipal councilor of Castellammare, and point of reference in Brussels for local issues. Because the restoration of legality and the rebirth of these wonderful lands remains for me the main reason why I am in politics.”
