The ninth edition of “I run with you” sporting, cultural and social event organized by ASD Bisceglie Running and sponsored by the Municipality of Bisceglie scheduled for Sunday 12 May. Institutional greetings are expected from the Mayor of Bisceglie Angelantonio Angarano, from the Fidal president Stefano Mei and from Antonio Giampietro, Apulian Guarantor for the rights of people with disabilities.

An event that now represents a traditional appointment for the people of Bisceglie with its colorful snake that winds along a 6 kilometer route along the western seafront starting from Conca dei Monaci and with the many collateral activities starting from 8 am. Sold out already yesterday the 1500 coupons available, a new record of registrations and all previous numbers exceeded.

PATH – Departure: Via della Libertà in the space facing the “Conca dei Monaci” car park and will see the runners heading towards Via Vito Siciliani and Largo Salsello, and then running along Panoramica Umberto Paternostro up to Via Ponte Lama. The runners will travel along Via Luigi Di Molfetta up to Viale La Testa to return to Panoramica Paternostro and continue along Via Siciliani until heading towards the finish line coinciding with the start.

An absolute novelty on the national level is represented on Saturday 11 May by “I run with you… and for you” a race for blind and visually impaired people, the only one of its kind in Italy. Departure (5pm) and arrival will be from the tourist port in the Bisceglie Approdi area. The route, spread over 9 kilometres, along the city’s coast road, will see a suggestive incursion into the Universo Salute-Opera Don Uva with a turning point in front of the Basilica of San Giuseppe. Among the over 35 participants, coming from twelve Italian regions who will be accompanied by their respective sports guides, at the start there will be Paralympic triathletes, ultra runners (runners in races over 40km) and representatives of provincial sections of the Italian Union of the Blind (sponsor of the event , together with the Municipality of Bisceglie, CONI Puglia, Fidal Puglia, Bandiera Lilla, Regione Puglia and Italian Federation of Paralympic and Experimental Sports). An event that will highlight these athletes, the city of Bisceglie and our region in a truly unique combination of sport, aggregation and social inclusion.
