The journey continues on our Peninsula Giro ExpressThat Thursday 9 May accompanies the sixth stage of the Giro d’Italia, from Torre del Lago Puccini (Viareggio) to Rapolano Terme. The sixth episode of this web series, updated day after day on the official Giro d’Italia channel on Youtube, begins from Viareggioin particular from the hamlet Torre del Lago Puccinion Lake Massaciuccoli, in front of the house where the musician Giacomo Puccini lived and rests, then taking spectators up to to Rapolano Termea spa and outdoor tourism resort, also known worldwide for the Pietre di Rapolano, a travertine unique for its particular colour.
What leads users to discover the area is Diego Gastalditoday a traveler and documentary maker after his successes in athletics, who stage after stage is accompanied by local administrators or ambassadors of the territory in a path of valorisation of artisanal creativity and the industrial supply chain of Made in Italy, of the territory made up of landscapes and villages rich in history and tradition, the artistic, food and wine heritage and much more.
