For the death of 46-year-old Vincenzo Valente, yet another workplace victim in Italy, the owner of the Sedec company of which the man was an employee and the director of the Brindisi sugar factory where the accident occurred are under investigation for aggravated manslaughter.
They are accused of aggravated manslaughter, committed in violation of the rules for the prevention of accidents at work, the two suspects in the investigation into the death of the 46-year-old Vincenzo Valente, the worker who died in the night between last Friday and Saturday in a sugar factory in Toasts following an accident at work.
It deals with Stefano Morelli, 44 years old owner of the Sedec company of which Valente was an employee, and Riccardo Casoni, 57 years old, director of the sugar factory. Morelli is assisted by the lawyers Massimo Manfreda and Rosanna Saracino, Casoni by the lawyer Tommaso Marrazza. The investigations are conducted by Spesal and the Police, and had already been carried out preventive seizure of the accident area. The worker’s body is still available to the Brindisi prosecutor’s office.

Valente was engaged in some activities during the night between Friday and Saturday maintenance when, for reasons still being ascertained, he would have the tape sliced an arm, causing severe bleeding.
