Improvements and interventions for young people continue Greek’s tower. After the pitch in Villa Ciaravolo which was redeveloped and inaugurated a few weeks ago. Even the kids at the comprehensive school Little angels from today they will have their own football pitch which will be made of synthetic grass. Today morning 8 May 2024 there was the inauguration with the ribbon cutting entrusted to the mayor Luigi Mennella who attended the event and had his say on the work done.

A synthetic grass football pitch that will serve as an outdoor gym for students. It is the one inaugurated today, Wednesday 8 May, at the complex Chiazzolellethe school that refers to the comprehensive institute Little angels. It is here that numerous parents have gathered since the morning, waiting for their children, enrolled at the school, to be able to walk on the new synthetic grass surfacecreated with funds made available by the municipal administration led by mayor Luigi Mennella through extracurricular projects financed by the public education sector.
The mayor then added: “This pitch has been awaited for years, someone told me practically thirty years. I am therefore pleased that its implementation takes place during the first year of our administration. An administration that has a place among its priorities, the valorization of schools.
We have tried to do this by trying to start the school lunch service as soon as possible and by carrying out a complete weeding of the areas where our institutes are located before the start of lessons. The presence of so many parents gratifies us and pushes us once again to reiterate that everyone must work to enhance the city. A city that must be touristy, to which people must come because we have a unique cultural and historical heritage.”
Principal Lo Priore’s comment
After the Mayor, the principal of the school also spoke, Rosaria Lo Priore: “When I arrive in 2020 – he said – this school was in dire condition. Such as to allow us to regularly carry out lessons a maximum of 2-3 days a week. We workedand when I say worked I mean teachers, secretarial staff, school collaborators but also parents.
Starting with the representatives of the school board, not only to take control of the situation, but also to improve the overall conditions of all spaces, including external ones. There were many ideas, but without the money they couldn’t be realized: for this I thank the Municipality who assisted us and believed in the validity of our proposal”
