«In fact, in addition to the undoubted local value determined by the very heavy impact of the infrastructural works under construction, the fate of a part of the forest heritage, the fragmentation, the isolation in closed off areas and the compromise of the ecological corridors, have led to implications and direct and indirect repercussions on the entire forestry and naturalistic heritage system of the Ticino Park. We also wanted to recall in the proposal for this inspection the “title” of the photographic contest that our Committee, in collaboration with IL SESTANTE of Gallarate, had proposed precisely on these places before the start of the
works on the Gallarate-T2 Malpensa line. A forest that is still valuable in places with important trees of Scots pine, black pine, national oaks and birches which, already suffering due to various factors, are now reduced and separated, as well as entire paths truncated. A whole to be protected and in some way “held together” and “repaired” as, if it were possible, a Kintsugi that adds value to what seems lost.”
