Palermo, the Italian Red Cross celebrates 160 years of commitment

PALERMO – In the yellow room of the Regional Assembly Sicilian, the Italian Red Cross celebrated 160 years of service of the oldest and largest international humanitarian association, present in 195 countries. The event was organized with passion and dedication from the young people of the Italian Red Cross of Palermo.

The meeting saw the participation of 100 high school students and teachers of Palermo, who had the opportunity to discuss and train on pressing current issues such as addictions in different forms, drug use, traffic education and sexuality, thanks to the Peer Education method.

The event

The event was attended by prestigious speakers and specialists in the various topics covered. Among these are the president and the health representative of CRI Palermo, respectively Laura Campione And Salvatore Zichichithe FMSI Sicily training coordinator and president of the CONI sports medical federation Beppe Virzi.

Contributions and participation were also offered by other members of the Palermo CRI Committee, the health delegate Samuele D’Aniellocouncilor Giovani Ignazio Guarneri and the vice president Carmel Colletti.

Young volunteers Diego Panci, Aurora Milazzo, Mariadomenica Pagano and Alfio Sanfilippo they brilliantly accompanied the interventions, showing the depth and commitment of the new generation towards social problems.
