Five questions to the candidates in the next regional elections. Today we propose the answers of Matteo Gagliasso, councilor of the League who is seeking reconfirmation after his first five years at Palazzo Lascaris.
1 – What are the reasons for the candidacy (or re-nomination)?
My re-nomination is motivated by my firm desire to continue the work started in the last five years and to implement the projects still pending. I want to overcome the obstacles caused by Covid and continue the progress we have started, to ensure a better future for all, built on the foundations of success already enjoyed by our community.
2 – What should be the priorities to work on for the next regional administration?
My priorities for the next regional administration are clear and ambitious. I intend to focus on ensuring efficient roads that support our high GDP per capita, strengthening local supply chains to support the farmers and ranchers of our area and creating new job opportunities for young people, so that they can build their future here, in our lands .
3 – Healthcare: what are the main issues to be resolved and what can the Region do?
In healthcare, I am committed to unraveling the knots of long waiting lists, increasing salaries for doctors and making Italy an attractive place for healthcare personnel, offering innovative services such as telemedicine and home care for the elderly. I want an efficient and inclusive healthcare system that guarantees everyone equal access to care.
4 – Transport: what are the main issues to be resolved and what can the Region do?
In transport, I am committed to completing crucial infrastructure works such as the Colle di Nava State Road 28 and the Armo-Cantarana crossing tunnel, to improve connections and speed up freight transport. Reducing traffic and improving mobility is essential to promote the economic and social development of our region.
5 – What wealth of personal experiences can you make available to Piedmont?
My wealth of personal experience is the result of my constant and passionate commitment to best representing my constituents, with a 100% attendance rate in the Palazzo Lascaris chamber and continuous legislative and territorial representation growth. I am determined to put this experience at the service of Piedmont and my beloved Province of Granda, working with dedication and passion for a better future for all the citizens of our region.
