Excellent performance for the Pontine grippo at the Mathematics Olympics. The pupil Maria Faro (4H) of the GB Grassi scientific high school in Latina obtained, with 21 points, the bronze medal in the XL national final of the Mathematics Olympics, organized by the UMI (Italian mathematical union) in Cesenatico.

Thanks to this important achievement, the Latina student will be registered in the register of excellence of the Ministry of Education and Merit. Maria Faro was the first girl to qualify for the national finals in our province.

THE 300 students coming from all over Italy they faced each other in the solution of six difficult demonstration problems. The event takes place over three days and also includes the national team finals: Maria captained the mixed team and also competed with the women’s team. Beyond the competition, it is an unmissable opportunity for participants to meet other students from all over Italy who share a passion for mathematics.
