The Municipality alongside the Ciudade Dom Bosco

The friendship pact between Pisa and the city of Corumbà in Brazil is renewed thanks to the activities and work of the voluntary association The City of Children.

The municipal council, in fact, has granted a contribution to the association that supports the educational and welfare activities of the Salesian mission “Cidade Dom Bosco”which has been caring for the neediest people in that specific region of the Latin American country for over 40 years.

For the occasion, the councilor Riccardo Buscemi received at Palazzo Gambacorti Father Jair Marquesdirector of the Cidade Dom Bosco Mission of Corumbà, who brought greetings to the municipal administration and thanked them for their support of the mission’s activities.

The “Adolescents towards a profession” project, aimed overall at 60 young Brazilians from Corumbà, is aimed at organizing professional initiation courses for 30 adolescents between 12 and 15 years old and professional qualification courses for 30 adolescents between 15 and 18 years old. The purposes are those of detect adolescents’ difficulties in approaching their first jobproviding them with the tools to best express their abilities and direct themselves towards some specific professions.
