“In this campaign I also want to focus on another topic, thanks also to the support that the whole party has given me. I will deal with healthcare and oncology. I have been undergoing treatment for a short time, at a breast oncology level, I want to deal with this sector because not only am I understanding that there is a large community but that there are many needs for all the women and for all the people I meet weekly in the oncology department ”.
The shock announcement is from the former senator and former municipal councilor of the League, Valeria Alessandrini who chose the occasion of the presentation of Terni’s candidates for the European elections to make her illness public. One candidate is herself, the other candidate is the entrepreneur Antonio Tacconi.
“Terni – he added – is a big city but also a small city, people meet me at the department, they recognize me, I want to avoid the rumors in the streets, that’s why I say so”.
“I have thought a lot about this candidacy – added Valeria Alessandrini – which I decided to carry forward when, by Matteo Salvini and the whole party, only one condition was posed ‘that you are well’ and I thank everyone for yet another moment of trust in my person and in my commitment. Approached on the sidelines of the League’s initiative, Alessandrini reiterated “I believe that having an illness does not mean having to be ashamed, quite the opposite. I am well today, I live this challenge every day, I am well thanks to my family and my party who also support me in this battle”.
“I accepted the candidacy – added the former senator – because I never back down in the face of any challenge, I like to get involved and I like to be useful for my party because I believe, unlike others, in the League project and I do it with pride, and today, also courage.”
