The tender was approved by the Council of the Lombardy Region 800,000 euros to support the creation of major sporting events in the Lombardy region. The period is included between March 15, 2024 and March 15, 2025. The maximum contribution that can be paid varies between 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 euros based on the score obtained following the checks on the applications. The financial endowment is equally divided over the two years.
Demonstrations must have international relevance, non-profit, be recognized by the respective international or national Federations and have significant visibility in national and international mass media. Furthermore, the overall cost must be exceeding 200,000 euros.
Applications for contributions can be submitted, individually or in association, by amateur sports associations (ASD) and amateur sports clubs (SSD) registered in the national register of amateur sporting activities.
Regularly constituted organizing committees, national and paralympic sports federations and associated and paralympic sports disciplines, as well as sports promotion bodies, local authorities and public or private companies can also participate, provided they have title of exclusivity in the organization or realization of the event for which the contribution is requested.
At the time of writing, the notice approved on April 15th has not yet been published.
