The winners of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival have been announced. The Palme d’Or for best film was awarded to “Anora” by Sean Baker. Also in the Cannes palmarès this year are “The Substance” by Coralie Fargeat (best screenplay), “Emilia Pérez” by Jacques Audiard (Jury Prize and best female cast) and “All We Imagine As Light” by Payal Kapadia (Grand Prize of the Jury). A special prize went to “The Seed of the Sacred Fig” by Iranian Mohammad Rasoulof, sentenced to eight years in prison for leaving his country. For actors, Jesse Plemons wins for his performance in “Kinds of Kindness”.

The competition jury, chaired by Greta Gerwig, was composed of Ebru Ceylan, Lily Gladstone, Eva Green, Nadine Labaki, Juan Antonio Bayona, Pierfrancesco Favino, Hirokazu Kore-eda and Omar Sy.
